James Cameron originally wrote the story for Avatar in 1995, but it took 10 years for the technology to catch up to his imagination and it was definitely worth the wait! Although now we’ve been captured and some of us have even attempted to learn Navi (seriously!) we may have to wait a little longer than 2014 for Avatar 2.

Producer John Landau has revealed that the follow up movie is still “4 years away” from being ready for release to US Cinema screens. Nonetheless, he promised that the forthcoming movie will showcase “advanced technology” that includes a higher rate of 3D camera system and the CG and performance capture.

We think the wait is incomparable to the amazing outcome that will be delivered as and when it’s ready! But still.. roll on 2016!
