Katy Perry has reportedly signed a deal with Electronic Arts, the company behind one of our favourite computer games The Sims and will feature in future advertising, themed game content and ‘virtual goods’ within the game itself!
Worldwide exec of music for Electronic Arts Steve Schnur said “Today marks the start of the most integrated and exciting collaboration with any artist in the history of The Sims,”, “No performer could better represent the humour and fun of The Sims brand.”,
I mean she did record ‘Hot N Cold in ‘Simlish’ !? She’s definitely a fan, there’s no denying that.
Get your Perry themed hairstyles, furniture and props for the games, kicking off with a collector’s edition of The Sims 3 Showtime this March. Want your characters to become “singers, acrobats and magicians, or even moonlight as a DJ”? Well that is all possible!
MTV VMA Nominees Announced
The MTV Video Music Award 2011 nominees were revealed yesterday and Katy Perry emerged as the top contender with a grand total of nine nominations! Not far behind were Brit superstar Adele and the irrepressible Kanye West who each received seven nominations, followed by Bruno Mars who received four nods for his videos to Grenade and The Lazy Song.

So here’s the official teaser for Katy Perry’s new 80’s inspired music video - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) - which is set to be released on June 14th. It’s only a short clip but there’s someone that you might just recognise featured in one of the crowd scenes (Popeater were the first to spot her) - yes ladies and gentlemen, it’s Rebecca Black and it seems like she’s finally decided which seat to take!
No word yet on if she’ll play a bigger role in the video or if it’s just Miss Perry being a little bit of a jokester! Either way…we so excited!
